Project Manager – Utility Scale Solar PV & BESS

Location: Germany (Multiple Project Sites)

Contract Length: 6–24 Months (Extension Likely)

Start Date: July

We are currently supporting the search for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading renewable energy business delivering large-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects across Northern and Western Germany.

The Role

You will take ownership of utility-scale renewable energy projects from execution through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards. Projects are primarily located across Lower Saxony, Saarland, and Schleswig-Holstein, with regular travel required.

Key Requirements

• 4–5 years’ experience managing utility-scale PV and/or BESS projects
• Strong track record delivering large infrastructure or energy projects
• German language skills at C1 level (essential)
• Based in Dortmund or Hamburg (1–2 days per week in office)
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across Germany

️ Ideal Background

• Engineering background preferred (Electrical or Civil Engineering advantageous)
• Experience working with EPC contractors, grid connections, and project commissioning

Package & Logistics

• €90–100k salary + benefits package
• Company car provided due to frequent travel
• Accommodation support provided when extended on-site stays are required
